I know plenty about Wall St. and I think Mr. O’Brien has a good point. The working class hates Wall St. Not too hard to pen an article at HP that fans the flames of everyone’s hatred, especially when they feel helpless, scared, and paralyzed. Anger is a good mask for fear and sadness.

But forget anti-semitism for a second and the safe-haven of the anonymous Comment on HP, the SEC has only made allegations. Allegations are not convictions.

All the anti-Goldman propaganda, as well as all the other vitriol, inflames everyone with anger, I hope people can learn what it is their anger is trying to teach them.

Kids always seem to come up with questions like these when we least expect it. Like it was yesterday, I remember traveling in the back seat of the car and asking the back of my dad’s head about whether there was a heaven. It was a big moment and he knew it. I could tell by the hesitation in his answer, but it was honest. He said “No, Honey, I don’t there there is such a thing.” “So when we die, it’s just black and there’s nothing?” “Yes.” Dad is 79 years old and we’ve almost lost him a couple of times due to congenital heart failure. I wonder if he still feels the same way. I wonder if it would be better if we both believed in the fairies!

This was actually me channeling the conversation to you. I had the identical (and I mean identical) conversation with each of my twins in 2009. Why do they all want to take their beds to heaven with them and why do they want to live with their parents forever? My daughter said she will just marry her husband and he will just move into our house with us. I gave my infamous “We’ll see” answer to that one. It certainly is a parenting moment to remember.
